Okay...I only saw Saturday's workout, but this is what I noticed.
The event was well attended by college recruiters: looked to be at least 30+ representing many SC, NC and VA schools.

They started the day with workouts...60 yd, OF throws, IF throws.
DJ Mitchell, N. Forsyth, turned many heads posting a 6.5 followed closely by Addison Johnson, N Forsyth. There were many that ran well, but these were the two that I noticed.

Then they split the squads and played two 9 inning games. The pitchers dominated both games (too many to mention) as most of the hitters appeared to be a little rusty after their layoff. The hitters that caught my attention were the following:

Jeremy Synam, N Guilford- As stated by Impact, Jeremy may be the best LH hitter in the state. He and RH hitter, Jonathan Ratledge are clones. They both have great balance at the plate and can drive the ball.

Marc Nicholson, Independence- Although Marc may be under the radar across the state, he is not a secret to the college scouts. He flat out can hit and did so again on Saturday. It appeared that he was stroking the ball every at bat. Arguably, the best two strike hitter in the state.

Ryan Query, AL Brown- Ryan also hit the ball extremely well. The Wonder's catcher was receiving much attention from the scouts

Matt Rizzuto, Hoggard- He had the hit of the day. Knocked a ball off of the left centerfield fence

Keith Hill, Abbeville, SC- The USC signee proved to be the best all around catcher at Impact. Soft hands, gun for an arm and is one of the best at managing pitchers and calling a game that I have seen in awhile. Top notch player.

There were many, many players that looked good, but those are the ones that made me take notice. For the Charlotte area folks Ryan Morris, South Meck made a fine play in CF showing a strong arm and hit a p-rod to right field.

There was one player that really caught my attention and he didn't play in Saturday's games. Justin Jackson, ss, TC Roberson. Some players are just fun to watch; Addison Johnson and Justin are two of those players.

Hopefully, someone else will post their thoughts on Sunday's games, but those were my thoughts on Saturday's play.

Maybe I am overstepping my boundries here, but does anyone else pay for a website that doesn't get updated? It seems that I do. I sure do like reading the posts when they are on there, but they are few and far between these days. Maybe he needs to hire some help.

Yeah, but look at all the great information you get here....and it's free :D

Seriously, he could use a little help on the site. It is very time consuming and that's one of the things he has little of. If there is anything that NCBBallfan and I could do to help, we would be more than willing.

He is a great guy. Does more for HS players to get attention than anyone person across the State....and he is selfless worker making little monies from all his endeavors. What Impact Baseball and Andy Partin really need is that one financial supporter (much like East Cobb program) to allow him to accomplish all the goals he has set forth.....Anybody know that type of individual?

    Right On Braves!

Andy does a terrific job with the time he has available! His priorities are to generate exposure for high school talent through his showcases, sponsorship of the NC state games and attending and scouting other nonaffiliated showcases and events, such as High School competition, East Coast Pro and other tournaments. His scouting notes are shared with college coaches and pro scouts via email and personal contacts not necessarily his web site. Although, I am sure his web site is utilized as well. I know from personal experience that his opinion has considerable value among college coaches. I had one high level D1 recruiting coordinator tell me directly that he signed a kid several years ago based solely on Andy's recommendation. While I am sure that happens rarely the fact that it happend at all speaks volumes as to Andy's credibility. You don't develop that kind of "juice" by just publishing a web site or pandering to parents. You do that by hard work, honesty, integrity and a high level of competance.

Just my opinion, but for less than $50, particularly during the high school season, you get alot of coverage and information on NC high school baseball teams and players. NC baseball if very fortunate to have Andy promoting local players!

Thank you Andy for your hard work and your effectivness in promoting NC
SC and VA highschool baseball talent!!! :applause: :applause: :applause:

Also thanks to those who post often, respond often and share information on this site. It has been and will continue to be a valuable resource.

Couldn't agree more!! Andy does a great job on the site, he has good solid baseball people helping him also, the problem is that they are part timers and HS coaches also. They have to adjust their schedules and commit alot of time to promoting players. Granted, they have fun but ain't baseball great???? HAt's off to a great thing in NC Baseball, IMPAACT.
