Well East Burke has started off good when people was thinking they was going to go down hill after losing a lot of players. Well to those that can not see EB is now 2-0 with very good wins over Hopewell and Hickory. Well i think they will Win Conf. this year.

Its really tough to say because all three teams play good non-conference competition to prepare themselves for conference play.

But the edge goes to Reynolds for the tough teams in Asheville, Owen, T.C. Roberson, and Ridgeway (TN). Asheville, who destroyed the Rockets 41-7, was a 3AA regional finalist and Owen had an undefeated season up until the crushing loss to Whiteville in the first round of the 2AA playoffs. Roberson is a team that's on the rise and may challenge Asheville for the MAC championship. Ridgeway is the newcomer to the schedule as Reynolds scurried to find another team to play to fill the void after the scheduling error of Swain County. The inability to fill the void would have meant the forfeiture of the 4A playoffs, but the Roadrunners from Ridgeway (Memphis, TN) are qualified opponents that will give Reynolds all they can handle. Even if Ridgeway wasnt on the schedule the 1A Swain County Maroon Devils are tough to play against year after year (Watauga gets them, God help them too!)

(For more info on Ridgeway click here: http://www.biggreencountry.com/ridgeway_high_school.htm)

Freedom is second with tough games against Shelby (lost 27-2), 3A Ashbrook, 4A Davie County. While East Burke has big games against 3A Hickory (won 26-12) and 2A regional finalist Hibriten. What hurts the Patriots are games against lowly teams like West Caldwell. The Cavs are hampered by a game against Newton-Conover.

Why does ACR win the conference year after year? They're the best prepared year after year heading into conference play.

Courage is FEAR, that said it's PRAYERS.
Ridgeway, TN is currently 0-2 and looking at an 0-3 start as they have played a very tough schedule as well. They have lost to the 3rd ranked team (in 3A) in KY, the 27th ranked team (all classifications) in TN, and play the 6th ranked team (all classifications) in TN this week. Ridgeway is ranked 45th in all classifications in TN out of 317 teams. Just a little information on Ridgeway and the teams they have played. The will be all we can handle I am afraid!
