Kannapolis Legion---New Coaches

    Joe Hubbard from NW Cabarrus and Empsy Thompson from Kannapolis Brown are coming back to coach the Kannapolis legion team next season.

    Tate Osborne has stepped down to spend more time with his family.

    I'm sure everyone will miss Tate Osbourne...but getting Joe Hubbard and Empsy Thompson is a great coup. IMO..they are two of the best around

    Marco Little (former asst coach with Kannapolis Legion and also played at Charlotte) has taken a job as a head coach in legion. I think he took it in Stanley County... but not positive on that fact. He took this job about a month ago.

    The rumor mill has Marko Little going to be JV coach at West Stanly and J.P. Culp leaving that position and taking the head coaching position at North Stanly. Coach Quinn from North Stanly is stepping aside to have more time with his family and to watch his daughter play ball this year at North Stanly.:thinking:

    I found out the other day that Empsy Thompson will be the head coach of the Kannapolis legion team.Joe Hubbard from NW Cabarrus will be his assistant.

    The Wojans should be tough again this year.They return their top three starting pitchers that lead them to a 3rd place finish in the state last season.

    Everyone in Kannapolis certainly wishes both Tate and Marko the very best. Those 2 guys really dedicated themselves to this Kannapolis legion program the past few years and they did an excellent job winning the last 2 Area III titles. They will surely be missed.

    At the same time, its nice to welcome back Coaches Empsy Thompson and Joe Hubbard to the Kannapolis legion family. Both of these guys are well-known around the coaching fraternity and we're excited to see what happens in 2005...
