      He's worked at guard, too.
We can find someone off the scrap heap, grab Chris Chester in a trade is something I'd be okay with.
Getting Peppers done is huge, and we'll have a better idea of the effect after cuts and all the doom and gloom 'will they be under the cap?' stories (often followed by the 'Not only is Hurney's cock delicious, he got us under the salary cap again using his godlike skills and incentive based loophole' stories). I'd also like to see Jarrett extended.

I think you'd be a little smarter than to start throwing a name around because of such superficial reasons (prediction: draft time will bring up the names Terrence Cody and Herman Johnson for the same reasons, that and they played in the greatest conference ever) and I like the idea of a big guard too.
I'm not gonna lose sleep if he goes and you're right in that he hasn't failed, it's a returns on investment thing. Gross leaves, we slide Wharton out, have Vincent for another year and aren't trying to replace both guards which I like, but I'd like to see competition added even if Gross comes back. In a somewhat related note they'll probably be after another G/C type to replace Hangartner which I guess is Bernardeau if he's ready.
I'm thinking franchising Gamble is very much in play at this point so we might have another rent-a-guard unless we draft someone.
