Who out there should we be focusing on? Who are going to be the next studs and what schools do they play for?

he's not really a STUD (still small but he's young). but theres a kid at Cary HS named Michael Rooney, he's a 2nd baseman that was all-conf. honorable mention, hit about .260 as a Freshmen leadoff batter on Varsity. As he gets bigger and older he will definently be one to watch.

At South Meck the 06s that you can watch for are:
    -Matt Andress - P/1st, 6'3", 205 lbs.
    -Reid Rollison - 3B/OF/P, 6'1', 195 lbs.
    -Chase Austin - IF, 6'1", 155 lbs.
    -Ryan Morris, P/1st, 6'1', 185 lbs.
    -Matt Layman - P, 6'2', 175 lbs.

All were huge for freshman this past year and were starters on the South Meck JV team.

    @ S Meck:

don't forget catcher/QB B Marren (can hit w/ pwr, good speed as catcher w/ his size, good arm)

    @ Charlotte Christian School:

J Bard (r/l great stick, strong arm, everywhere but catcher)
C Bradley (r/r great footspeed, strong arm, can drive ball)
K Fulginiti (r/r soft hands, hit close to .400 for d'backs, great eye)
    M Fulginiti (r/l had "mid-high 1" era for d'backs, hit close to .400)
R Leander (r/r coming off knee surgery, great athlete can hit and play ss)
C Martin (r/r strong kid, best opposite field power around but :brokenhea ?)
M McVery (r/r strong, fast in outfield and improving behind plate under shildt)

    @ Providence Day School:

ironman D Wallace (l/l beat CCS varsity as a freshman)

    @ Providence HS:

K Mauney (r/r can hit and field, has the tools but :brokenhea ? we'll see what happens under new Coach H)
S Patterson (r/r great athlete, catcher, strong arm, can hit w/ pwr)
R Semeniuk (r/r eally blossoming under shildt w/ size, speed)
G Shaddock (r/r hits w/ pwr, good glove on corners, coming off broken hand)
and a cast of thousands (PHS is loaded)

    @ East Meck

*T Bryant (r/r can hit, throw, be placed almost anywhere - EMHS put him behind the plate as a frosh, sky's the limit, overcoming a huge personal loss)

    @ Piedmont HS:

*T King (r/r outstanding pitcher for d'backs, "mid-low 1" era, hits with pwr, good footspeed)

    @ Myers Park:

J Cudney (r/r can throw hard, coming off arm problems, hit with power, soft hands)
S Matthews (r/l all around utility player, great competitor)

I know I have forgotten a lot of details and players, but if we take a look at how well NC 15U's did in national competitions the past few weeks, you know there are a lot of things to be remembered.

the dawg says Wallace @ PDS and Bryant @ East are locks. King could be a possibility @ Piedmont. Everyone else will prob have to wait their turn: the guys @ PHS are buried, maybe some bit roles for the guys @ Christian.

it's possible but his playing age this summer was 15 and I think he's going into 10th gr @ East. He played on 16U Rhino's this summer.
