The fan did a lot more than tell Coach Sanders to sit down. His language and gestures were in full view from the home side. Really crude and the ejection was appropriate.

First of all, I have nothing but high respect for the McDowell program, from top to bottom. Always have. However, this fan deserved the ejection. We were sitting within 6 feet of him throughout the JV and Varsity girls game, and finally had to move about 5 rows down. He was making inappropriate comments to students and players, and just prior to his ejection, rose to his feet and shouted "F--- you, coach! F--- you, coach!" while proudly displaying his two middle fingers. Unfortunately for everyone near him, his $5 was not well spent.

Keep on rolling, Titans. Look forward to seeing you play again soon.

 

Wow,sounds like things got hot in boone last night,I wish I could have made this trip. I'm still trying to figure out who this fan is. I try to go to all Titan games when I'm not working and through the years I've really worked the Ref's and had a little fun with them by showing them a little stuffed skunk if I think they make a bad call. However I would never curse a ref or coach. But I did get tossed from the titan dome a couple of years back when I skunked a ref from morganton. But that won't happen again if he wants to keep his job.Fans play a big part in firing up these players especilly at home games. But there is no place for cursing and fingers at these games. as adults we have to remember that there are children at these games and it is only high school sports.

 

I think its good that a McDowell fan got on here and spoke the truth about this idiot.

Coach Silver or Coach Church would have done the same thing if anyone had been yelling at them. Anything Sanders yelled he would change and yell it out again. It was absurd. Then when told to sit down and be quiet he decided to use the F bomb. That will get the cops on you quickly. He tried to hide for a moment and stay in the stands but Boone PD quickly showed him the door.

First off, a coach cannot have a fan ejected from the game. Home game management can do so, but not the coach. Secondly, the guy that was ejected deserved everything he got. He was very disrespectful to WHS coaches and fans. It was a younger man and he needs to realize that there were young children sitting near him. It is a shame that fans like this brings a bad name on a school. Most people I know from McDowell are class act people. I hope this does not ruin their reputation!

As far as the game goes, how does three terrible refs get assigned to the game that is for the conference title at this point? Someone needs to talk with the booking agent and see what is up with him. Normally Watauga is not in that position this late in the year, but the booking agent should know that he needs to send a quality crew to that game. Congrats to McDowell on the victory. Maybe they will see each other in the conference championship game!!

 

I have never seen this man at a Titan game before friday night. I go to 90% of the games.
