    I know Jere Morton has to be singing in the streets!!! Great job by Cutler. He pitched a gem.

    And, if I know dad, Keith, he is singing in the streets as well! Congratulations to Joe Cutler (from Cary not Providence) on the win against Hoggard! I happen to know that Joe is a good hitter and a fine outfielder on top of being an excellent LHP pitcher. My son played Fall ball in 2003 with Joe and traveled up and down all over NC, SC, and VA and my family enjoyed very much getting to know the Cutler family. Good luck to Joe at the University of Tampa next year also. Good luck to the Cary team too in the remainder of their 2004 Spring baseball season.

    Probably!

    Yet even at the HS level now with the parity I have noticed over the last ten years IT is very diffcult to run the tables nowadays! I look forward Hoggard to be back in the mix despite all the griping and complaining that goes on over their down east with that program! :nono:

    Isn't that the truth. Here they were 11-0 and there is all kind of sniping going on. This player should be starting..that player should be starting..and of course, there is bound to be a parent or two poisoning the team.


    I know a coach doesn't do it for the money, but sometimes at some schools it just ain't worth it.

    Just got home....
    I've been in Spartanburg, SC since Thursday for 4 games with Spartanburg-Methodist. We split, I picked up a win in Game 3 with 2 innings of scoreless relief, and pitched 2 innings of relief in Game 4, giving up 1 hit/1run (and it was a bomb...).

    The scores were:
    LCC 15
    SMC 2

    SMC 3
    LCC 2
    *9 innings, Sterling Parker hit a walkoff HR in bottom of 9th.

    LCC 7
    SMC 5
    -Scored 5 in the 7th to go up 7-5.

    SMC 13
    LCC 10
    -SMC scored 7 in the 5th to blow it open... rally fell short for LCC in the 6th.

    But anyways, Joe Cutler called me Thurs. evening to let me know about the game. He was excited and I was proud of him. He had a rough outting against rival, Apex, previously. So it took a lot for him to bounce back like that against the #1 team on the road. But he is a great PITCHER, doesn't throw hard, doesn't try to overpower you, but he is a very good pitcher. He can also hit as well, said he had a double and single in the game. I am at home in Cary for Spring Break/Easter so I am going to go out to Cary on Tuesday to long toss with Cutler and see some of the boys again.

    We practice Wednesday and play Louisburg at NCSU on Thursday, then travel to Rockingham CC for the weekend.

    CARY PRIDE, That was a big win for Coach Blanchard and the CHS program. :banana:
