11 reasons to play for your school

    Gman, Glad things worked out for your son. Maybe I should have mentioned that the pitcher that did pitch is the same grade as my daughter and she transferred in from another school for no other reason than to be " THE" pitcher. Made the coach look good to those who are outside looking in but everyone knows it was wrong. When a highschool strikeout record is far more important than sharing pitching duties with two D1 bound pitchers, and one is put on a pedestal and the other is made to feel inferior by only throwing batting practice, then i think it would be fair to say that this coach has his priorities out of order!! By the way she was in no hurry to go to college early but the possibility came to her. So , not play school ball , play school ball and sit on the bench and wear your arm down throwing bp EVERY day, or go on to college and actually pitch games. Pretty easy choice

    I hear you and see where you're coming from. I do think your daughter's situation is rather unique and definantly not the norm in HS ball. Two quality pitchers on a high school team would be a luxury most coaches would love to have... and hopefully, would take advantage of.
