    Watauga beats Dobyns-Bennet

    I think the final was 54-45. D-B is supposedly a decent team from Tenn., Kingsport area.

    So where are the other scores?

    north meck-85--- north iredell48:scared2: one of the top teams in the state showed why they are a favorite to go deep into the playoffs. clemson coach oliver purnell was on hand to see 6-8 jamie skeen. skeen scored 25pts .

    Avery 42

    in the traditional mountain rivalry in the wacky octagon gym at Avery High

    Watauga managed 15 first half points and trailed by 11 at intermission

    I believe the Pioneers are 5-2 under their new coach, Rob Sanders, after getting about 5 wins total the last couple years with their old coach -- I also think the JV team is unbeaten so far -- he should have some talent coming up to varsity that might make the Pioneers a contender again the NW4A like they were in the days of Payne
