14U pitching from 40 and 43 feet?

    With my dd......the move back to 40 was a much tougher transition than the move to 43. She hated 40........for what it's worth.

    Just asking

    I'm curious about how a kids height or strength plays a role in the transition from 40-43 feet.

    What about, say a kids hand size.
    Does the change of distance affect, good or bad, a certain type of pitch, or a kid who relies on one pitch or another?

    My dd is small.....with tiny hands.....I wonder how she manages to hold some pitches. She relies on movement and speed variation. When she would move back to 40 everything would start out fat on the plate or a miss.
