Stretchy...had no idea you were on the field today during that game...

Had I known, I woulda given you some serious grief... no complaints about any call, just would want to give you some hassel...

I do like the way you made the home run call today...heeheeheehee:clapclap:

    Umpiring...

Dang Stretchy! I was hoping you'd be over in Tarboro tonight (Sunday). I am not one to bash umpires BUT....the Crystal Coast fans surely would agree that a "step up" in umpiring is needed.

Seriously - it bothers me to see a 3-man crew with no idea of proper rotation and field positioning. The lack of proper mechanics gives the impression of lack of knowledge. As any of us who have ever umpired will attest - "looking the part eliminates a lot of complaining".

Come on Stretchy - switch sites!!!!!

Nooooo.... Stretchy needs to stay in Nash County... now that I know he's there, adds a dimension to the game for me...to stalk the fences and work him over...

Although, he had PLENTY of help (as did the plate ump) from the Home Team stands... as a matter of fact help on EVERY pitch and EVERY call... lol...

((Tuff to get it wrong with THAT much help. Sheesh.. some fans just can't get a clue! There seems to be a feeling that a certain amount of responsibility for some fans that when they pay to get in, they feel obligated (or would that be entitled) to take on the role of OFFICIAL scorer and Crew Chief.... :badass: Every pitch.... every call... lol))

Sorry I got sidetracked... forget all that... let's just celebrate the kids and their efforts! Baseball is alive and well in NC!!!

    Umpiring...

I know what you mean. I had the pleasure of sitting with the Crystal Coast folks on Friday afternoon. They were very polite and friendly but were quite LOUD in their distaste for the umpiring. I seldom get to enjoy "being in the stands" so this was quite a treat. With all the help the umpires get, they should be 100% correct 100% of the time. No wait - they would be 100% conflicted 100% of the time because 50% of the folks will probably be unhappy.

Stretchy has standards. He absolutely can not be bribed. In fact, he gets a little bristled when one suggests that.

But, he does accept donations. So if one wants him to call a certain game, he prefers that you donate to his favorite charity.

Of course, it's been my understanding that most people donate to keep him from umpiring.their games :satana:
