    Welcome Whitney Wagner

I would like to ask all of TBR to give a warm welcome to Whitney Wagner and her family....Mr. and Mrs. Coach Dennis Wagner (CLICK LINK) and their son Joshua...This was their first experience with the North Carolina fastpitch family...Whitney is an AWESOME addition to the STING FAMILY !!!!!!! She is definitely a strong power hitter from the left hand side for the STING!!!Coach Dennis can throw 60+ riseball, dropcurve, change-up, and sinker all day long, he AMAZES me and keeps my kid wondering what he will throw next...He is a TRUE pitching MACHINE..

We are playing in the ASA South Atlantic Summer Showdown in Spartanburg, SC this weekend, July 11, 12, & 13. Last count 17 teams. We actually play quite a bit of ASA. We play all sanctions and prefer to go where there are alot of teams to see different competition. I wasn't really a fan of how the brackets were set up in this NSA State tournament and other NSA tournaments we have played. You should cross over and play a different team than you had to play in pool play. The scoreboards are dark at a State Championship??? What is up with that? I must say though that Morganton is convenient as it saves us hotel expense. We certainly spend alot of time and money in hotels. Out of the last four tournaments we have played, the Sting have been seen in four different states (by the end of July when we go to Florida it will be five) so we get around quite a bit in the short amount of time that summers allow. I personally would get bored seeing the same teams week after week.

I agree with Mrs. Change-Up, we are proud to have Whitney and the Wagner family as part of our Sting Family!
