16U tryouts for Summer 05'

Carolina Pride Tryouts 18,16,14 & 12's.

Coach Hawkins of USC Upstate is having tryouts for a 16U traveling team next year. The Tryouts are scheduled for September 18th, 2004 at the softball complex on campus at USC Upstate. The organizations name has yet to be determined. More info to come in the immediate future. Time, phone numbers etc. will be posted later this week. :xyzthumbs

 

New Organization tryouts

Upstate South Carolina wil be developing a new organazation from 12-U to 18-U.
The 12-U will be coached by McKewn Dannelly. He is the new assistant coach at USC Upstate. He comes from Coastal Carolina University were he assisted his dad Jess Dannelly for a number of years.
The 14-U team will be coached by Butch Clark. He is the new head coach at Mauldin High School. He came from Hillcrest High were he has been an assistant coach for a number of years. His assistant will be Megan Clark. She is a former standout out at Hillcrest High and current third baseman at USC Upstate.
The 16-U team will be coached by Chris Hawkins. He is the head softball coach at USC Upstate. He has ammased a 334-172 record in his ten years at USC Spartanburg. He will be assisted by Brian Shetley. Brian will be the backbone of the organization. He is the former head coach for the Southern Explosion in the Asheville area.
The 18-U team will be coached by Doug Keelan. He is the head coach at Olympic High School in Charlotte. He also has coach the Firecrakers in the SC. Dynamites organization. Drafted by the Atlanta Braves, Doug will be a big asset in getting our girls in colleges. He will be assisted by Harold George. Harold is well connected in softball in the upstate of South Carolina. Harold helps athletes with recruiting, videos, and instruction to get them to the next level.

THIS ORGANIZATION WILL PREPARE YOU FOR COLLEGE WITH GREAT COACHING ALL THE WAY THROUGH. MORE INFO WILL BE PUT OUT NEXT WEEK.

Where will the 18U team practice?

 

The 14-U will practice at Mauldin High School. Everyone else will practice at USC Upstate.

 

The organization will be called The Carolina Pride. This will work well for both states. 18-u will not hold a tryout. They have a broad base now. The 12-U 14-U tryouts will be anounced this weekend. The 16-U tryouts will be September 18th at USC Upstate. GO PRIDE!

Tryout Times

16U Tryouts will start at 1PM Saturday September 18, 2004. Be there 30 minutes early so you can be prepared to hit the field on time.
Tryout times for the 12U and 14U will be posted later.

Carolina Pride Tryouts

Tryouts went real well. I feel that we have a very good team for next year. The pitching is real strong! We are still looking for a few fast outfielders and maybe a catcher. If anyone is interested please call Brian at 828 273-7228. You will become aware of the mental side of the game on this team. Very good preparation for college. Once again you must be in a 50 mile radius of USC Upstate. :xyzthumbs

where is the October 16 USC-U softball clinic thread?? is it still a GO??

i have several folks calling me wanting to know if the money is required prior to arrival or just call and bring the cash with them on the day of??

they have call USC-U and they hadnt heard back and were wondering!!
