I can't start till March 1. Our basketball want be over till Feb 28th and most of my players on on the basketball team. One of the issues of teaching/coaching at a small school. We are just middle school but I would still love more practice time. We have more games scheduled than practice days at this point. NO time to work with girls and develop skills. Just show up and play. But all we hear from the "higher ups" is that it is about the kids.

here we go with the whining again. have the coach sit on one of those big lifeguard chairs you see at the beach. she'll be able to see all the players and then some. who knows? maybe she has a really good memory. Maybe she's videotaping the practices and analyzing the tape later that evening in the comfort of her home. This constant complaining must stop. It will be the death of preps and I for one won't stand for it.

First you need to go back & read what I wrote. It had a ? mark at the end. The death of preps is going to be a question you have lost your mind! Jamming up people for asking questions maybe the death. Now if the coach can remember what 32 girls did or didn't do or what what they did best than good for that coach. If you are a dealer for the lifeguard chair send me some prices so I can have one at travel practice.

I am not a dealer, but the coach for our local team has one. it works like one of those easy-up canopies you see at campgrounds or craft shows and whatnot. His extends to 32 feet and has a rope ladder he uses to climb up and down. When it's all torn down it fits neatly into a duffel bag that you can carry on your shoulder. There's even a canvas awning that he can put out to keep cool. The point is, whether it's 32 girls or 82 girls, from that vantage point you can see them all. The best place to put it is beyond the centerfield fence. and I'm telling you: videotape is the wave of the future. You tape the practices and then analyze the talent by watching the tape on your TV or laptop. I may have you pegged wrong, but it sounds to me as if you might have a daughter trying out for the team and you're kinda laying the groundwork for an excuse in case she gets cut. "There were too many girls and the coach couldn't see them all because his chair was too low to the ground!" Please. Just get a bigger chair. And some video equipment. Who is this coach? I want to all and warn him that some disgruntled parent on preps is contemplating a lawsuit.

Very happy with the turn out at my girls high school. Enough to field both varsity and jv teams. We will be young this year, but competitive!:REDanceBanana008: I am just so glad it is getting started.

Yea , i'm with you on having fun , being a teamate and being serious too. All are vitally important to the chemistry of a great team and highschool experience. I dont make it out to be so sad. My quote said kind of sad. She soaked up the positives and threw out the negatives like eat the chicken and throw away the bone!!. And anyone that may know who she is knows that under any circumstances that she would never expect to be the star!! She would have liked to have walked on the field . hopefully there will be softball beyond highschool for her.

Mr. Grid the school I was talking about was 15 miles from where my daughter was. Left one tryout to go see another. I will not get in exchange of words with someone that hides behind his computer & tries to get under peoples skin. Not going to happen here & I won't waste the good peoples time on this board with your crap.

Pretty sure I know your daughter and JV is definately a waste of her talent. She is just as talented as any varsity pitcher we face and works very hard on her game. Not to mention her successes in travel ball. I hate she missed out on a great high school experience and........... I feel pretty sure there will be softball for her at the next level
