    Ragsdale loses a heartbreaker. After trailing the entire game, down 21-3 mid way through the second quarter, Ragsdale comes back to take the lead 24-21 with 3:20 left in the game.

    Ragsdale looked to have the game wrapped up when Billy Stone intercepted a pass at mid field with under a minute left, but a pass interference call gave Parkland the ball back and they scored from about 30 yards out with 22 seconds left in the game. Ref had his hand in his pocket pulling his flag to call an obvious block in the back on Parkland but decided not call it. Oh well, Ragsdale dug the hole in the first half - thats what really cost them the game.

    Parkland will travel to TC Roberson next week.

    Roberson beat Mooresville 21-7. Village Idiot and I exchanged calls during the game. Roberson was up 14-0 at half time.

    I watched the Owen game tonight. It was not an upset, the better team won. Maiden's quarterback was by far and away the best player on the field and Owen couldn't deal with him. Maiden had better team speed and better athletes overall. Maiden moved the ball all night, but killed themselves with penalties. They could have easily won by 3 or 4 touchdowns.

    Kenny Ford actually did an excellent job of coaching by keeping this game close.

    ineligible player according to the charlotte observer. they had to forfeit all 11 games.
