    2003 Blue-Grey Classic I
Wake Forest University, Wake Forest, NC, 8/13-15

The 2003 B/G Classic I will be held on August 13, 14, and 15 at Wake Forest University. This three-day tournament, in its twelfth year, attracts over seventy colleges from the Mid-South Region as well scouts from most major league teams. Team New England, Team Pennsylvania, Team Southeast, Team North Carolina, Team Florida and Team Mid Atlantic will compete.

No team rosters, workout or game schedules posted as yet. Anyone know if there are any Charlotte area players attending the B/G Classic I @ Wake Forest? I know that Coach 44 will be coaching Team North Carolina in Wake Forest as well.

Thanks for the B/G Classic I @ WFU roster for Team North Carolina, Coach 44.

I'm thinking that the following players are from the Charlotte area.

    Matt Faulk - Providence
    J. J. Rollins - Myers Park
    Elliott Arrington - South Meck
    Logan Smith - Myers Park

Have I missed any one on the list that is from the Charlotte area? There might be other Charlotte area players on other teams at WFU this comiing weekend as well. Anyone know of any other Charlotte area players that are playing on any other teams @ WFU on 8/13-15 for the B/G event?

And again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY COACH 44!

    Mudcat:

Maybe there are some "mountain boys" on one of the other B/G Classic I teams @ Wake Forest which is very possible. Also, check to see if there are any "mountain boys" participating in the B/G Classic IV teams @ Coastal Carolina as well on 8/22-24/03.

    Coach 44:

Happy Birthday again....it is my understanding that an Impact Prospect is a player that Impact Baseball has followed and studied and rated very high in their baseball skill ability and put on a list of players to follow with regard to their high school baseball play.

These Impact Prospect players, as a rule, usually either sign very early in their senior year and/or sign very quickly when the spring high school season begins. Actually, Impact Baseball has a very high accuracy rate of predicting/judging the players that will go on and do well with their college baseball career.

Maybe we can get Andy Partin with Impact Baseball and who is also a poster on TBR to comment on this matter.
    :help: Andy!!!

Thanks for the Alex Sink update info as well...

speaking of Impact Baseball, i saw where Benji Johnson and Jeff Hatcher have signed . Johnson with UNC and Hatcher with UNC-W

Both were at the latest Impact Showcase at UNC.
Last winter i knew someone was going after Hatcher after he said he did not pitch for his High School and took the mound throwing in the upper 80's .. That had all the scouts watching close.
Johnson is a darn good catcher with excellent pop times.
