I had a parent of a B/G participate quote the below to me:

"The B/G event that we attended was awesome. Everything went smoothly, they had a real nice dinner/banquet with college coach speakers as well as representatives who have helped with Blue-Grey over the years.

The workouts were exactly what we expected, no time slighted on anyone unlike other showcase events that we had attended in the past. It took longer than they expected but "each and every player" received equal time. They played 4 games and each position was played equally.

We truly enjoyed our B/G experience. Blue-Grey was definitely what we were looking for. There were 45 college scouts there and 10 major league scouts. Good representation I thought."

I give the Blue-Grey Classic showcase events 3 thumbs up!!!

I have just received word that Zac Kennedy (05) MIF from South Meck will NOT be able to attend the B/G Classic IV @ CCU due to his commitment to football @ South Meck this weekend.

I thought the event went well for the most part. We left after the 3rd game due to the fact that the 4th game was so late. In the 3 games I saw all the NC boys did well. I'm sure that some of them raised their stock for the up coming recruiting season. I know my son has already heard from some of the schools that were there.

Were you not there, cougardad? I thought your guy did well, both in the field and on the mound. He swings the stick well also.

Those of us in the mountains know Scott Russell well. He is a very fine talent and an equally fine young man. We at WH have enjoyed playing against him and we'll see y'all this fall. He is gonna make a very good additon to some college program.

I think Scott had a great time. He is an "adopted" son, since he and my son have been playing together since they were 8 years old. Looking forward to having him, Carl Smith Hunnicutt and Robert as the Senior leaders this fall. Hopefully, all three will have a chance to play somewhere at the college level. Scott and Robert had real good Junior years and now Carl has started really hitting again this summer. It has been a real joy watching all of them grow up.
