    AC Reynolds 10 Asheville 5
Non-conference game between old rivals. 2nd game of the year (already) between the two teams. Asheville threw several underclassmen during the game and although they were hit well by Reynolds, the errors and mental mistakes hurt worse. Asheville Travels to Franklin this evening and hosts TC Roberson on Friday. These two conference games should show the Cougars where they stand.

Piedmont finally woke up the sticks last night in the cold. The game was close (3-2) through 3 innings. Pitcher, Soph. Tim King was fantastic other than in the second when he gave up the two runs.

Pitching- Tim King 7 innings, 2 ER, 4 hits, 17 strikeouts
Hitting- Tim King was 2-2 with 3 walks
Danny Hermann was 2-4 with a HR and 2B and 4 RBI
Justin Perry was 1-2 with 3 walks

Alexander Central 6, St. Stephens 4

On a very cold day, St. Stephens jumped ahead 3-0 on AC's starter Scott Hall. AC scored 3 in the third and then 3 in the 6th. Kinda sloppy game because of the freezing weather. AC starts conference next week @ McDowell.

Anyone have the Central Cabarrus vs Concord score from the 5th or the NW Cabarrus vs Central Cabarrus from last night?

    E Gaston 9 Char Christ 6 (Tues 3/9/2004)

EG scored 9 runs on 2, countem 2 hits. Walks and errors all bunched together in a very wet 6th. CCS pitching and fielding is inconsistent right now though the bats look fine.

Piedmont @ CCS fri I believe, AC Flora @ CCS sat.
