Heavy rain in the eastern part of the state probably limited action there yesterday. Tuesday's results could be a light day.

You're learning Braves (and I see you've been listening to me too) ... I've watched these guys hit for years. When they get it going, it can be a sight to behold. Tremendous power, nice speed.

    Prov-5 on 5 hits Butler-1 on 4 hits
The difference in the game was 3 outfield misques that enabled 4 runs for Prov. they wouldnt have gotten. The box score in the paper was wrong. I guess they want higher batting avgs. over there.
    My box score
    Prov.-5-5-1
    Butler-1-4-3
Butler did look ugly But Im picking them to win the rematch.

Oh by the way Prov. pitching wasent much better "O"

Actually, I thought the pitching was pretty good on both sides, but I left after 3.5 innings. If that first fly ball was caught...no runs would have scored.

It was a beautiful night for a ball game and a big crowd turned out

If the 1st fly ball had been caught there still would have been a run scored as John Ahearn was at 3rd would have tagged up and scored easily. The ball was hit to the fence. The only difference would have been Barker wouldn't have made it to 3rd and he wouldn't have scored the 2nd run and I think they could have been out of the inning on a couple of following plays. I also thought the pitching was pretty good for this early. The Butler pitcher was doing fairly well until his defense fell apart behind him and he began to strugle. Now the other pitching didn't seem to real sharp for Butler. Felt kind of sorry for the 1st baseman who was brought in directly from defense and given 8 pitches to warm up and go.
