Oops..you're right NC. Thought there were 2 outs, but it still was a difference maker. At that time, both teams were clawing for a run

    oops!

didn t mean to step on any toes!???? Actually I was very impressed with the starting pitcher for Butler!!! HE threw the ball well with a nice slider and changeup and early seemed to have the Prov hitters wayyyy off balance ! You are right his defense made him have to work very hard for MOREEEEE outs... I felt bad for him he deserved a better fate big time! It was the walks basically I was referring to..he was pitching very carefully to the PHS hitters which is a must for their lineup. Just felt he should could of ben more aggressive as well! Pitching AGAIN for BOTH sides I thought as well was pretty good otherwise especially this early in the season YES!! Braves...... :xyzthumbs

The starting pitcher was nervous, he is a junior and it was his first BIG GAME START. He had pulled something in his right side during weight lifting at school but I like what I saw from him. If he doesnt get hurt he should be a top line pitcher next year.

P.S. hes not my son.

    5 innings

Brett Bartles and Brian Little homered for the Wonders, and Garrett Sherrill threw a great game, lost the shutout in the last inning. The Wonders finally got that first win, and it couldn't have come at a better time! Statesville didn't throw their horse, Johnson, we'll likely see him when we play them again next Friday. K-town plays L. Norman on Friday 3/19.
