Rosman is young this year but looks to be a factor in the 1A ranks.

Seriously, I'm happy for Chris Taylor and his teammates....but I ain't that happy :D

This game by far was the biggest win in JM Robinsons short history...yet all the independent tribune had on it was the score, and a few words from the coach. The front page was all about AL Brown and their 1st win. It irritates me a little bit...

The Independent Tribune apparently covered the Central Cabarrus game also on Monday and by reading the article you would have thought the Kannapolis Pitcher just stunk it up.. When in reality , the pitcher gave up 2 hits , 4 runs and 4 errors were committed ... something like that...
Of course in Kannapolis(Cabarrus County) , we follow the Salisbury Post so we dont have to read about Concord and the other Cabarrus County Schools all the time , especially Central Cabarrus Girls softball..
But i know what you mean baseball11

Cody Rape pitched 4 strong innings giving up only 2 hits and a run. Danny Hermann pitched a strong 7th. Maybe Piedmont has found there 3rd and 4th pitchers. Piedmont played everyone making the score closer than it should have been.
Hermann and Justin Perry both had HR's. That is Hermann's 4th in four games.

Robinson @ Piedmont today at 4:30. Piedmont @ Sun Valley tomorrow. Two big games in the SPC.

    Results from 3/18/04

This game was close and if it wasn't for a questionable call by the home plate umpire, Anson might have ended up winning this one. Don't have the stats for the Bearcats, but they put the ball in play and ran the bases aggressively.

    Sun Valley - 6 (4-1, 1-1)
    Anson Co. - 4

    WP - Blalock (2-0) 14 k's, 4 hits
    LP - Kelly

    Leading hitters

    Sun Valley

    Blalock 2-3, HR, 1B, 2 rbis
    Tillman 2-3, 2B, 1B, sac
    J Privette 2-4, 2 rbis
