    Piedmont 10 Parkwood 0 (5 innings)

Tim King pitched a 1 hitter with 8 S/O's. Morgan Tyson had a 3 run HR and Danny Hermann was 2-2 with 3 RBI's.

Catcher Dallas Tarelton was 2-3 with a double and threw out two runners. Dallas is having a very solid year both at and behind the plate. He has caught every inning and is batting over .400 with a huge HR against Sun Valley.

    Hopewell Vs. West Charlotte

    Hopewell 18 -- West Charlotte 0 (5 innings)
WP - Dusty White; LP - Cordero Tobias

West Charlotte continues to struggle. They have a couple of good players, particularly Justin Pate in centerfield, but just can't seem to put it all together. Hopewell's hits and good defense, along with West Charlotte's struggling pitching and hitting, as well as several errors resulted in the lopsided score. White pitched the first three innings, allowing one hit and striking out 6; Ben Beard pitched the last two innings, allowing one hit and striking out 4.

Hopewell's hits were numerous with several players getting at least one hit - a couple of JV players were brought into the game (West Charlotte has no jv team, so a couple were brought up for the game). Ben Beard was 3-3 with 3 RBI's; Dusty White was 2-3, with a 2-run HR and a 2B, 4 rbi's; Dan Woodall was 2-5. Zack Turton from the JV squad had a couple of nice hits as well.

    Sun Valley - 7 (5-2,2-2)
    JM Robinson - 2

    WP - Blalock (3-0)
    LP - Benson

    Leading hitters

    Sun Valley

    Blalock - 2 run HR (5)
    J. Privette 2-3, triple, 2 rbis
Brent Smith - bases loaded double, 2 rbis

Big SPC win for Sun Valley against JM Robinson. Benson pitched well for Robinson and had a 2-1 lead in the 7th. After a lead off walk and a hit batter, Sun Valley rallied to scored 4 runs making it 5-2. Robinson replaced Benson with Frankie McAteer, who struck out his 1st batter but then yielded Blalock's 2 run blast making it 7-2. Sun Valley is at Charlotte Catholic on Wednesday.
