I had to leave in the 6th inning of the Kannapolis /E. Meck game, but it was a well played game on both sides.
First game for Ktown , not sure about EM... the game could have went the other way just as easy.. EM capitalized on our mistakes.

Kannapolis plays Charlotte Christian at Kannapolis tonight... too bad i'm away on business...

I heard from Parkwood that Central Cabarrus has just reloaded (as usual) this season and they are swinging the bats well. How did they look in this game?

Those guys can ALWAYS hit !!!

They were swinging that bat well. Benson pitched a fine game for JM Robinson. Central hit a lot of ground balls off him. I think they hit maybe 4 or 5 to the outfield off him. He rolled pretty good through the first 5 innings, giving up only 1 run. In the 6th, a Central player reached 1st on an infield hit. Then a sacrafice bunt was mishandled by the Robinson 3rd baseman. Benson got pulled after that throwing only 56 pitches. McAteer came in for releif. He walked the first batter to load the bases. Then he struck out the next batter. Then with the bases loaded there was a ground ball hit to the SS that should have ended the inning with a DP, but the ball was booted. Central then took a 3-2 lead and tacked on another before the end of the inning. It was a good baseball game, and Robinson had a great chance to upset the Viks.

JM Robinson plays at Northwest Cabarrus friday
Central plays vs Concord on friday

    MyersPark over Vance

I was out of town and missed the game, but I understand Myers Park won at Vance, 7-4. Logan Smith went 4 innings, Josh Barker went 2 and JJ Rollins closed. I don't know any other details.

Score was right, but pitching info was wrong. Sophomore Ryan Rockecharlie started an went 3+. Sophomore Josh Barker came on to finish the 4th and pitch the 5th and 6th. JJ Rollins closed. Junior Jeremey Mathis had two hits.

    Other than the score ...
...does anyone have any details of the game? Indy seems to start a little slow every year (maybe it's a hold-over from football season), but are a handful come mid-season.

Also, West Meck squeaked past Hunter Huss. Any details?
