We too at Mooresville have felt the wrath of Jacob Cooper as he blasted a 2 run shot against us a couple of weeks ago at their place in Granite Quarry. We were fortunate enough to win that game though in the top of the seventh and turning a double play to end their half.

This result should lock in the top three slots in the NPC, this is how I see it at the end:
    W. Rowan
    Kannapolis
    E. Rowan
The NPC is one tough baseball conference!

Piedmont lost to JMR 10-2 today. This was finishing a game started about a month ago. The game started in the 5th with Piedmont down 5-1. JMR had the bases loaded with 0 outs. That is where we picked it up from today. They put together a couple of hits to blow it open. Course, it started raining during the game again (got sunny minutes after the game ended of course). I think this means that JMR/Weddington will split the conference championship but JMR will get the #1 seed in the tourny I believe because they swept Piedmont while Weddington and Piedmont split.

    JM Robinson--10
    Peidmont--2

    WP:Benson
    LP:King

This game picked up play in the 5th inning b/c it was called due to rain earlier. Robinson started with bases loaded 0 outs in the 5th. A sac fly by cocheran scored one run. Then a strike out made it 2 outs. Benson then was HBP to load the bases. Greg Miclat and Charles Webber then hit a single and a double to score 4 more runs. With this win Robinson becomes SPC co-champions after winning just 5 games last year! If Sun Valley looses to Concord tommorow then Robinson will have ther #1 seed, and if SV wins then it goes to a coin flip.

baseball11, if SV wins tomorrow, they will be tied with Piedmont for 3rd. Yet, Piedmont has the tiebreaker over them because we split with Weddington while Weddington swept them. So, why would you be dependent on the outcome tomorrow? No matter the outcome, Piedmont would have the 3rd seed in the conference. Given that, JMR and Weddington are tied for 1st. If you go look at head-to-head, then you would go look at the 3rd seed first, right? If so, JMR swept Piedmont and Weddington/Piedmont split which would give the 1st seed to JMR. What am I missing here? Maybe the issue is that you can't decide who is 3rd until you decide who is first. If that is it, then yeah, it will come down to a coin flip because both Weddington/JMR have a combined 3-1 record against Piedmont/Sun Valley. That could also flip Piedmont/Sun Valley as well depending on who wins the coin flip. Go Concord!
