    South Caldwell defeated Hickory and Fred T Foard

    N. meck played a great game. those other teams around charlotte better not take them too lightly. They can play with and probably beat most of them if not all.

    For the most part in the games I saw, it seemed the pitching was way ahead of the hitting. Also, it looked like teams weren't bunting abd slapping much. But most were very aggressive on the bases and that's good to see.

    CF, do you have any scores from the Kings Mountain Tournament? I would have loved being there. Great Forbush tournament! Lots of close games. I would have to say that North Mecklenburg and Central Cabarrus were the most impressive of the teams I watched. Lots of homeruns by Central Cabarrus. I think North Mecklenburg will be a team to watch this season. They played some good softball.
