Comet, i wish i could provide some scores but no scoresboards used, controlled scrimmages(if coach wanted a runners on first and third at the beginning of the inning.....free to do so) and just couldnt keep up with four game right in front of you!!

Kings Mtn was the most impressive from starters to freshman(only 2), Player for player in their lineup or on a team!! Ashbrook looked good while East Rutherford was missing 4 starters, they too looked good concerning its early and underclassman played alot. Best of their Class:

    4A-Providence
    3A-Kings Mountain
    2A-East Rutherford
    1A-North Lincoln

pitching was ahead of the hitters but thats to be expected at this time of the year as Homer mentioned!!

    Great Scrimmages

We had a great time at Forbush. Good games and I got to see folks I haven't seen in a while. Butler is looking forward to returning next year.
The pitcher from West Forsyth, I think her last name was McKensey Keep our hitters off balance the whole time. It was fun to see her work. and I think she was the best hitter on a team loaded with good bats. They will be in Raleigh I beleive.
We learned alot about some of our younger players and had a good experience. Homer was on the mark about pitchers being ahead of hitters right now. But Pitchers work all year long, Umm? Maybe there is a message for hitters in there.
Thanks to Forbush for a job well done :applause: :applause:

Here are the scores from the Forbush site.

    CC 7, East Rowan 0
    Forbush 5, South View 1
    Forbush 3, Hopewell 1
NW Cabarrus 4 or 5, Hopewell 1 or 2 (not sure about this one)
West Forsyth beat Butler, but again I'm not sure about the score.

Thanks to all the teams for coming. It was a great day with a lot of great talent.

www.forbushsoftball.cjb.net and click on the 2005 link.

We are young, 6 freshman and sophs. starting. We are hoping that our schedule will get us ready for the playoffs. Of course we have to get through Ashe, North Wilkes, and North Surry first. 3 playoff spots for 4 pretty good teams.
