    Stutts finished with two hits, one being a two run homerun over the left field fence in the bottom of the fifth inning. Leslie Payne, Britni Ladd, Danielle Galliher, Anna Lisa Blackwelder, and Megan Childers with one hit each for NI.

    This CPC 4A conference game was a classic. It was one of those where you wish both teams could win. It was a pitchers duel all the way. DC's Amy Alexander is arguably the most improved pitcher in the state and was able to keep the powerful WF hitters in check most of the night (only 7 hits for West). Ms. Alexander will be attending Wake Forest in the fall. Too bad Wake doesn't have a softball team.

    DC's Carrie Sain tied the game with a 2 out base hit in the bottom of the 7th. Then in the top of the 11th, West Forsyth's Brittany Honeycutt doubled to left center scoring Brittany Hull.
