    Congratulations to North Stanly ! Representing the Rocky River Conference in Raleigh ! This team had to win the RRC tourney just to qualify for the playoffs. Says something about their team and the strength of the conference. Stay hot, and good luck in Raleigh !

    As an umpire i saw lots of potential with North Stanley. Coach has done a great job with this team and deserves a lot of credit. Good luck in Raleigh, I'll see you there.:trophy:

    comet, coach sherrill is saving a few seat close to his parents for us. he is an old friend who was in my wedding( still think he should have drove me else where , but thats another story). hope to see you there!! coach!

    West Rowan 10 Southwestern Randolph 3
    The Lady Falcons bats were hot,& put up 3 runs in top of 1st.I think this kinda had SW Rand. shell shocked,& never recovered.Freshman Stacie Raney,Erin Foster, & Brooke Taylor led the Falcons.

    This team could be there at the end in Raleigh.It was good to see that there was some better officiating at this game,unlike Tues.

    North scored in the first on a single by Ashley Angell followed by a double by Tatum Hargett.
    West tied the game in the 5th on an unearned run. Runners on 1st and 2nd pitch in the dirt and North's catcher D. Reece throws runner out at third but third baseman drops the ball. Full count on the batter, in the middle of the windup the batter starts to step out of the box and the pitcher completes her motion but does not release the ball. Ruled an illegal pitch, ball four on the batter and the runners move up scoring the runner from third.
    West loaded the bases in the 9th and North's shortstop, Tatum Hargett makes a great play on a one hopper in the hole and throws the runner out at home. Katelyn Wersing then singles between short and third for winning run.

    Congrats to North for another great season and good luck to West in Raleigh.
