    1A

    North Lincoln 7
    Cherryville 3

    WP Baxter
    LP Walls

Both teams looked nervous 1st inning. North Lincoln scored 3 on 2 hits, runner hit by pitch and an error. Cherryville answered with 3 in their half of the 1st on an error, 3 walks and 1 hit.

North Lincoln got 3 more in the 5th with several hits, and added one more in the 7th on a couple more hits.

Courtney Feldon, Jenna Torbert and Lindsey Smith all went 2 for 4.

Must have been 400 people there! One of the sports reporters said it was the most people he's seen at a softball game in 25 years.

The Lady Cavs are still on an adreneline high after a hard fought win against Forbush. Their pitcher was really good, but our batters were a little better. Samantha Rich was 2 for 4, Heather Burns double bounced off the fence, and Christi Hardin's hard hit to right field brought in the run. Every person on the field was awesome. This was truly a game played with heart! Forbush had two hits against East's four. Christi also threw a bullet to Burns to tag the runner trying to steal second. Congratulations to the Lady Cavs on your trip to Raleigh!!:woohoo:

You should have been at the CC i would guess close to 7-800 people were there what a game between the two teams a pitchers duel with Gina Allen pitching a one hitter striking out 16, solid defense with Stephanie Beatty making one the best catches you will ever see diving over the fence into foul territory, and Beatty and Presnell with back to back hits in the bottom of the 8th with one out. Should be an awesome final four in Raleigh, NC Great coverage of the game tonite highlites on both channel 3, and channel 6 locally.

Paul, I am envious of you....You seem to get to all the great games. Maybe I can make it to Raleigh this coming weekend. Tony is holding me a spot in the tent in his DD's backyard.

I don't get to as many key games as I would like to, but have seen several this year. I will have to talk to Tony and see where the tent is set up and come by to visit. I will be arriving in Raleigh Friday afternoon around 4pm. Hope to beat the rush hour traffic. See ya there!
