    W. Johnston 9
    SE Raleigh 0

    Amanda Davenport a complete game shutout in the circle and Jordan Alexander a mammoth HR over the rt/center fence.

    Many hits by WJ in the game.

    Freshman, Laura Hopper, had a no hitter during her four innings on the mound. Leslie Brooks finished out the game, with the Lady Trojans gathering only two hits.

    Hitters for the Lady Cavaliers were: Lindsay Harrison, Bobbi Jo Wood, Alex Park ( with 2 RBIs), and Avery Carlton.

    I'm not one who usually posts here, but I gotta give it to Ms. Brittany. In 13 IP, she has allowed only 2 hits, and has 25Ks to 1 walk. I'll take that strikeout to walk ratio any day.
    As well as shes throwing, her stick has been better. A 4 for 5 night last night has her season avg. to .718 for the 8-0 Cougars.
    The Cougars are getting super offense from Brittany York (2HR in one inning last night), Ashley Sewell, and Brittany Marsh. With the exception of the Eastern Randolph game, Anna Maness has been another stopper on the mound for SWR, as well has Valerie Campbell. Throw out the 5 runs allowed in the ER game and SWR has outscored opponents 132-0. Still, 132-5 isn't shabby. In addition, I expect the defense to prove substantially upgraded over last season.
    If the Cougars stay focused and play 7 innings a night, they should reach 20 wins again.

    Update on Graham

    Wins over Williams, Orange (16-3 last night), Myers Park 4-1 (Walnut Creek Scrimmages 3/11), and Durham School of Arts(20+ to 0).

    Losses to Parkview (?) and Durham Riverside in one run games at The Creek Scrimmages And loss to S. Alamance (won't mention that score:biggrina: ).

    Record 4-3 / 2-0 conference.

    Good to see all the action again.

    RANDI HAS NOW HIT 4 HOMERUNS. REALLY HITTING THE BALL CONSISTANTLY HARD. THE ENTIRE TEAM IS JUST CRUSHING THE BALL .
