    I think both teams had 2 hits. KM made an error in the OF that hurt badly and allowed the run to score. We were the far better team though.

    Janna Lewis (Soph. Hopewell HS) got her first out of the park GRAND SLAM homerun in a game with Myers Park yesterday April 5th. Congratulations Janna. Janna is the DD of Dan & Avis Lewis.

    Was at this game and both teams played well and both pitchers were pretty dominant. Not sure I would say Butler got lucky. In first, leadoff batter Jessi Polk gets on and is told to steal with Rappe at the plate, Jessi is thrown out, Rappe gets hit afterward, so possible to have runners at first and second with no one out and 3-5 batters coming up. Kings Mtn had a similiar situation and left runners at second and third. Bear for Butler had a great hit to left and had an easy triple but was waved home with the ball in the infield and was out by a mile. Granted there were two outs at the time but lead-off batter was coming up. Never know! Rappe got a hit in seventh and AShton hit a frozen rope to left that was by the left fielder before she had a chance to react. Not sure I would have called it an error. Anyway a great game by two great teams that will both go far in playoffs. No prediction from me on how far either goes. HS softball at its best yesterday!:twocents:
