MHS had control the entire game. Leah Smith had a big night with 26 points. Hamilton also had a good game tonight.

Well, an interesting game in Marion tonight. McDowell started out kinda of slow and then pick up the pace in the second half. The skunk got a lot of work tonight with the non-NW4A refs. Good crowd participation tonight which may have got the girls to play a little harder in the second half. Good luck to the MCDOWELL Lady Titans in Charlotte Wednesday.

Courage is FEAR, that said it's PRAYERS.
    AC Reynolds 74
    Crest 55

Lady Rockets were up 25 with 3:35 left when the coach emptied the bench. ACR played really well especially in the second half.

Hats off to McDowell on their win tonight!

I thought the little spurt at the half where McDowell stretched the lead from seven to about 13 did Hopewell win. After the half, Hopewell got as close as nine, before McDowell pulled back up to 13 at the end of the 3rd quarter and then put it away in the 4th quarter.

Hamilton and Smith both had big games in the interior. We will need another performance like tonight or better on Wednesday. Early thoughts going into Wednesday is that we'll have to play the best game of the season to have a chance. If playing that brutal non-conference schedule is going to pay off, then Wednesday would be the perfect time to cash in.

BTW, there were folks from South Meck checking the scenary, and folks from South Caldwell giving a little NW4A support.

    McDowell in playoff form

I had a gut feeling the lady titans would show up ready to play tonight and they did. It was the best team effort of the year for McDowell and it left a look of dismay on the hopewell bench. The refs were awfull but they were really bad on both ends of the floor. Like titan90 said the skunk was worked overtime tonight. McDowell will need to stay this sharp wendesday if they hope to beat south meck. Good luck to all our nw4a teams left and you freedom fans don't get down there's always next year. Sounds like they played a good game tonight. Maybe the foxes can turn some of those close losses into wins next year.

I'll say it once more, when Hamilton is playing hard, McDowell is a good team. Lea was fantastic, and everybody else pitched in. Shooting percentage had to be high.

I notice Kurie holding her midsection in pain. Will she be OK?

    Great job, ladies!:woot:

Hopewell and Crest got a taste of life in the nw4a. A hard place to play on the road. Does anyone know who won East Meck and JM Robinson game?
    East Burke???????
