In the 4A West...South Meck will play High Point Central in a semifinal on Wednesday. If there is a team left in the west that can beat South Meck, it may be Kenny Carter and High Point Central.

For those who are planning on making a trip down to Winston to watch the regionals, I heard on the news last night that only one of the regional finals (2A Boys) will be played at LJVM because of the State/Wake Forest game, all other regional finals (boys and girls) will be played at the Annex.

Just another reason IMO why the NCHSAA has goofed up by moving everything down there. It's all nice and everything to have all games in one central location, but you would think that scheduling between them and Wake Forest would be smoothed out before hand? And to those schools who will bring a large following, they'll have to fight for a parking spot.

    South Meck

South Meck did a great job shutting out the outside shot for HPC and making them play the inside game... South Meck led by as many as 13 in the fouth quarter, But with Cheek on the bench with 4 fouls, HPC cut the lead to 4 with just over 2 minutes left. But that is as close as they would come... Cheek came back and HPC was forced to foul and the lead quickly went back to 12 within a minute. Cheek was nearly perfect from the free strike only missing one all night long... She definately showed why she is a top DI player...The final South Meck 64 HPC 45 ... I don't think these HS res were ready for a College pace game... Very quick and physical.
