2006 NSA State 16U "A" Results

    Top 4 out of 18 teams entered:
    1. NC Dominators
    2. Carolina Curve
    3. Wake Forest Rockers
    4. Gaston Thunder

    Congratulations to the NC Dominators for capturing the state title for 2006. Very talented and solid team, that also displayed some outstanding sporstmanship. Job well done.

    Also hats off to the Caroline Curve for an outstanding showing in this tournament. This 14U eligible team made a strong showing, outscoring their opponents in their first 3 games, 28 to 3, with 2 games that ended by slaughter rule. In championship of winner's bracket, the Curve took the Dominators to international tie-breaker, before losing. In Championship game, this young Curve team battled hard to the end, losing 2 to 1 in seven innings. Outstanding pitching performances by both Kalie Lang and Stephanie Spain.

    Thanks to Howard Edwards, Chuck Laney, and Randy Bledsoe for running an outstanding tournament. Good weather, Good softball, Good fun!!!!
