Roster is not set yet!!!

It is my understanding that Coach Jeff Parham has not made any cuts as of yet, so there is no official 2006 roster for the Spartans yet.

 

SC Roster

I have added some names to the South Caldwell Roster, now that should be all of them. I guess I left a couple of names off of the first roster by mistake. Some people have brought that to my attention. Those were just the guys that I could remember, I never said it was official. So don't whine or get mad if your name or your son's name wasn't on there.I didn't mean to step on any toes.

 

South vs South

South Meck. was ranked #2 and South Caldwell was ranked #4 in the Impact Preseason Poll. These two teams should be really good and I wouldn't be surprised if they meet again this year in the playoffs, and one eventually go to the State Championship, and maybe win it. Both have solid pitching,and both have experience, and both have good coaches. I know the season is just starting, but in your opinion, which of these is the better team? Why?

 

AC Reynolds Rockets from Asheville NC are ranked 3rd on the Impact Pre-Season Poll for good reason. Seniors LHP Blaine Howell opted to head to BYU instead of UNC while RHP Jonathan Durner has mastered his curve ball over the fall and plans to play at Blue Ridge CC next season. Throw in Juniors RHP Sam Runion, Ian Haley and LHP's Kyle Paeplow, and Phil Terbeek and the pitching staff is pretty loaded. 1B Cam Duckworth is headed to UNCA and can absolutely crush the baseball. 3B Seth Hines is tough on the corner and is know to hit the long ball. The Rocket outfield will have speed and arm strenght with senior lead-off man Brandon Briggs in center. Senior catcher Dakota Slage will be wrestling for the 215lbs. 4A State Championship this weekend--enough said right there!Junior SS John Hinson ( 2x All-Conference) is a tough out and he and 2B senior Casey Duckworth are a good duo up the middle. The remaining roster if filled with good athletes that are great kids. ACR doesn't get a lot of attention and seems to go unmentioned in the NW4A, but these mountain boys have been playing together for some 10-12 years and if things fall into place, this will be a great year for them. They did finish 2nd behind AC in the NW4A last year with only one senior. Keep an eye out for the boys from BIG GREEN COUNTRY .:bananalam AC Reynolds has dominated the NW4A this year with Conference Championships in Football, Soccer, Basketball and Wrestling. (Wrestling actually won the tournament) It should be a great year for all ACR athletics!
