    I think these girls can thank their very supportive parents and in some cases the scouting services that assisted them as well. Great job goes out to the families that worked hard to achieve this success.
    Not sure if we can count BTand Kritter since they played this summer for the pride but I think both organizations can shine a little....
    In the past 3 years Southern has had 16 players go on to play at the next level. Great job...
    The success and hard work goes to the players who wanted to play at the next level. We just provided the behind the scenes hard work to get them into the right tournaments and let them prove themselves in those tournaments. It has been a wonderful ride and I know how these players this year feel.

    Mandy Ward Officially Signs w/ Gardner-Webb

    Mandy Ward signed her letter this morning in a little ceremony at Butler HS. It was so magical and all her teammates, coaches (from past and present), friends, and family were there. She currently plays for Cabarrus Co. Challengers but has played tourney ball with the Curve and Denver Dazzle. Mandy was glowing; Congrats Mandy and you will do well at Gardner-Webb. :woot: :woohoo:

    Signing today

    Emily Jeffrey of Butler HS and Lady Blues will sign today with USC-U. Emily has had a great career at Butler and won many games for the Blues last fall and this summer. She pitched well but also played a great first base and was one of our leaders with the bat. Great job Emily, hopefully u and Ashton as well as the other talented players at Butler can get us to state again. Will be tough with CC and other good teams out there.

    Two more 2006 Blues to go and I will announce those two soon. RET

    Looks like Hawk at Upstate is getting anothere good one. Way to go Lady Blues and the Butler HS program but even more, especially Emily...

    Kathryn Geouge a shortstop at Pisgah High School will sign a NLI to play for Coach Nan Whitley and Catawba College. Kathryn led Pisgah in almost all offensive catagories this past season while helping Pisgah win thier second straight conference title. Kathryn played for the "Smackers" 16U team based in Waynesville.

    D1 Signees: news up to now

    Have these reported D1 verbals actually signed NLI's? Are there other D1 signees? Have to think Lady Blues have some. I seem to remember an ASU signee but can't locate. To this point seems there are far fewer '06 D1's than there were in '05. Wildcats alone had six D1 '05's. In know the Cardinals and Lady Blues had about that many also. Who am I missing?
