Just wanted to provide an update on the Lady Blues class of 2007 and their new homes:

Alysia Stewart: loving Belmont Abbey, seen her last week with a huge smile and working hard in the class and on the filed. Kenny Terry is happy he has such a leader.

Sarah Rappe: Spoke with her parents and Sarah had just went through a long hard practice but is having a great time in school and can not wait for her first game. Excited over the App. State's football team's big win over Michigan.

Jessica McKee: Joined Fred's family at Tusculum and is adjusting to the college life. Smart kid with competitive spirit, will do well.

Jessica McGraw: New home is Wingate Univ. Michele glad to have some more speed to put in the line-up and Jessica is excited to be at her first choice.

Courtney Feldon: USC-Upstate got one of the best hitters to ever come out of this area. She is ready and loaded after a great summer. Coach O agrees she is an awesome hitter.

Morgan Childers: Joins her teammate at USC-Upstate and will be a force from the beginning. Chris is excited about having one of best pitchers ever to come out of NC.

Ashton Ward: Univ Tennessee got not only a HS all-american but a fine person as well. Ashton has adjusted well to college life, is enjoying the school and is busy vying for mound time and an infield spot on one ot the top college teams in the country. Contrary to rumor, Ashton is ready to make her mark on the Lady Vols softball record books. Just spoke with Ash and her family and she is fired up for the upcoming fall season and the challenges it will bring.

Keeli Michael: Keeli is fired up and ready to help the Camels to continue their success. At the Nationals Keeli and I spoke about her new role as acollege student and player. She has no fears and is ready to prove she is one of the best middle infielders ever in NC. Her family is excited as well because Keeli's brother just committed to play baseball at UNC.

Kristi Woodall: College of Charleston got a great hitter and outfielder as well as a leader. Spoke to Kristi at the Lady Blues workouts before she left for school and she could not wait to get to Charleston. With her grades and leadership, she will be a force on and off the field.

Hope to get to at least one game of each of these young ladies.:hyper:

It's good to see all these kids are doing well and that Ashton is excited about Tennessee. I hope to get to some games. Thanks for the update Rodney.
