    Congrats to Seth

I have been very fortunate to watch this young man pitch several times this summer with the Dirtbags. The first time I saw him pitch I was shocked! You look at him and he is not a very big kid at all and not very physically imposing and then all of a sudden this kid unleashes electric stuff from the hill. He is a warrior who is always ready to go to the bump. NC State landed a good one thats for sure. I predict Seth will have a very nice career with the Wolfpack. And I must add that Seth is a great young man and a great team mate. Congratulations Seth!

    Seth Simmons

I saw that game against region 7 and yes he did! And he has been doing it all summer long against some outstanding competition. For all you pitchers out there that hear all the time you have to be this big and this tall to get looks from bigtime programs come watch Seth Simmons "NC State" this weekend in the Impact Games at UNC. And while your at it take at look at Tyler Hanover as well 2b for the Dirtbags 08. When I first saw him play all I could say was man that kid really hustles all the time I love the way he approaches the game. But now all I see is a kid that can flat out play his posistion as well or better than any kid I have ever seen in HS. I have seen him make one error all year! And I have seen him make play after play and he makes the tough plays looks easy. And this kid can flat out hit. He can play at the next level right now. And he is only an 08. Every kid out there that wants to play in college needs to see this kid play. He is everything you preach to kids in HS. He only knows one way to play the game and that is 100% all the time regardless of the score or the situation period. Very very very talented player and the benchmark in make up. It wont be long and we will see his name here. Someone is going to get very lucky when they land this young man.

Seth is a real competitor , goes right at you on the mound. I hope his HS coach will not overuse him like he has done in the past.

Congratulations to Dustin and your family. Dustin is an excellent player and should make an impact for the Pirates. One thing is for certain...he will be playing at one of the nicest stadiums in the country.

    Did I miss this one?

Haven't seen this posted anywhere and KNOW it's true!

:trophy: Drew Gehringer (Butler '07) made a verbal commitment to the UNCG Spartans. Congrats to Drew, Chuck and Stephanie.

Drew is a great addition to the Spartan lineup and I'm sure will make an immediate impact.

Now, Drew, can we get Dog and Pup too? :deal:
