    OK, I give up & you are right. There are no questionable calls. As long as the batter puts the ball in play then it is a hit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Im not talking about umpiers calls, Im talking about what the scorekeeper is putting in the book. there are guidelines for scorekeepers to follow, if they are understood and followed that eliminates many questionable entrys the scorekeeper can make. granted many plays are up to the scorekeepers discretion (would the batter - runner have beat out the infield hit even if the ball were fielded or thrown cleanly for instance) I do agree with the statement that game stats are questionable (very questionable) as a way to rate players due to the varied experience and knowledge of any given scorekeeper. But I dont know how else it can be done.
