    Crowds were great today. Been out there since 7am and I will be back there in a few hours.

    College Coaches I saw:
    NCSU (Head Coach, Assistant)
    UNC (Head Coach)
    Elon (?)
    Gardner-Webb (?)
    Campbell (?)
    ECU (Head Coach, Assistant)
    Pheiffer (?)
    UNC-Charlotte (?)

    I'm sure there were several more.



    Garner - Caldwell in the nightcap tomorrow night. Talk about a night session of baseball ----------Rowan vs. Cherryville and Garner vs. Caldwell.

    Should be exciting to say the least.

    Sorry Devil, you need a recount. 160-165 early in the ninth. I'm going to say he threw at least 180. If you don't believe me just ask the Charlotte coach. He was not happy and I don't blame him. Poor coaching in my opinion on the Garner coach.

    He in fact threw 151. I did a quick count after the game. Usually I keep up with it by innings, but my team was not playing. If you and the Charlotte coach would like to chech my pitching chart, feel free to see me before our game.

    But the point is that the guy shouldn't have been in there. Contrast that with what the Caldwell and Wayne coaches did.

    Defending Champions Done!

    WOW! Defending champions and alot of peoples odds on favorites, Morehead City are the first team eliminated from the American Legion Tournament. Anyone want to argue that baseball is the most fickle game on the planet... its all about when you get hot and when you don't.....

    Wayne willl have to play for the third straight day at 12:30. Yes, we lost the first game and have to pay the price, but why not be inventive and play it early in the day, then start the other ones late in the day?

    In other words, no adjustment for the heat.

    Area I is not competitive according to the GURUS.
    Any TEAM from that lowly area will get no special treatment. Perhaps one of these inferior teams will be lucky enough to get to Sunday!
