One of the best games all year, NW is very talented and well coached. We had chances and NW made some great plays to preserve the shutout. Hasson with 10 ks' and their pitcher (Summers? 11k's).. We just couldn't get the big hit with runners in scoring position..No errors in the game by either team, well played by both teams... Good luck to all in the playoffs...

Good to see you Daddydobber! Jordan West got the win, with Jamie Burwell finishing up the last 2. Katie Sutton hit the home run.

I heard a lot of folks commenting on how good Hannah looked, and I was impressed with West as a whole.

Lady Trojans fall to a very good Scotland team. Kudos to the Scots and best wishes in the remainder of the play-offs. As the parent of two very, very, very unathletic girls, (but I love them) I was very proud to see the final high school game of Morgan Barbour, the best softball/baseball/name-a-ball player I have ever seen. This young woman is the epitome of what high school sports are all about. I would walk through hell in a fire suit to watch her play. And thanks to our fabulous Senior Class of 2008:
    Alisha Gillespie
    Paige Waggy
    Morgan Barbour
    Amanda Beach
    Cecily Parrott
    Jessie Warner
Great job girls!! We love you dearly (not in a creepy stalker-type, but you know what I mean...)

If you are a NW4A fan and was making a prediction as to which team would make it to district, I highly doubt McDowell would be the first or second choice of anybody. Just goes to show how fickle the playoffs can be.

Congratulations East Rutherford on the win. I grew up in Forest City, and would love to see ER make it Walnut Creek.

Along with Haley and Taylor, also would like to congratulate STING players Megan Arrington and Rachel Mehaffey from Tuscola whose team is very much alive and to Laurin Buckner of Enka. They have all made a very big impact this year in helping their teams in these playoffs! Good Luck To All next week!
