Wow....2 big upsets tonight. Alexander Central & McDowell should be a great matchup. Now that I think of it, has Alexander Central ever made a conference tournament final? I cant remember if they have or not.

Just wanted to make a statement about our crowd tonight before anyone from McDowell gets on here.

At the end of the third some of our student section started booing, about that time the McDowell Cheerleaders took the floor. I think everyone thought the booing was directed at them but it was not... It was directed at an East Burke graduate that wrote a letter to the editor the other day bashing us and predicting a EB vs MHS matchup, he was walking in front of our sideline at the same time.

No booing directed toward the cheerleaders at all, just wanted to make sure everyone knew that..

I read that letter....What a moron. Looks like he gave some bulletin board material to Alexander Central for motivational purposes.

    Impact?

Will this (the AC - MHS final) effect the seedings for the state playoffs?

The winner would be elevated to the #2 seed. The loser is looking at a #4 seed either way.

Order for the conference standings pending on who wins:

    Win by Alexander Central
    East Burke
    Alexander Central
    Freedom
    McDowell

    Win by McDowell
    East Burke
    McDowell
    Freedom
    Alexander Central

    AC vs Mcdowell?

So mcdowell took the first 2 games handily right? anyone think AC can upset them?

Hargrave has to be huge taking petey outside/inside giving them a rough matchup. Ford and Rauchser will both need to have huge nights but look for the key to be the matchup inside with petey. Will hargrave have to guard him all night? I think mayberry is to small to. Maybe the big kid Fortner can give him some trouble on the inside i heard he was very physical with him up at mcdowell an it gave petey some trouble
Dockery needs to keep buggy out the lane

buggy may intimidate the ac shooters a bit with his shot blocking abilties if he can get a few easy ones AC may get scared.

Who knows should be a great game either way

When all 5 starters can contribute like they did tonight for MHS they are tough to beat. Maybe all 5 scored double digits. Dalton may have finished with just 9 points, but good balance tonight with Petey leading the way. Over the last 4 or 5 games Buggy has really took his game to another level. He can do anything (score-rebound-assist-steal-block shots-defense) and his speed on the court is unbelievable. Brock played well tonight also. Look for Alexander to slow things down tomorrow night.
