This was an endowment game-No decision @ this time if it will be rescheduled or not. Didn't mean to step on anyone's toes just trying to keep everyone updated--Sorry if this offended anyone! I am not on here to stir controversy I am just trying to get my DD's team some recogniton for their accomplishments in the wonderful word of fastpitch!! I probably should not have said won but sometimes I have brain farts and can not think of the right word to say !

    From Tuesday night

Sorry for the delay, between my wife and Guru they got me feeling under the weather.
Reagan defeats Parkland 3-0 in an outstanding pitching duel between two sophmores that was 0-0 going into the 6th. Sidney Martin and Morgan Myers dueled for most of the game before a couple of hits strung together puts it away for Reagan. Sorry don't have full stats but i know both stuck out a bunch. Parkland was led hitting wise by Junior Victoria Cook who went 2-3 w/a double.

Congrats to CD for a well played game.
Freshman K. Murphy pitched very well for Ledford held CD scorless for 7 inn. But Chelsea is tough to beat! Ledford let it slip in the 8th. Hard fought and exciting game.

Ardrey Kell @ Providence SW4A Game

    Ardrey Kell 1 (7-3) (3-3 SW4A)
    Providence 3 (7-1) (4-1 SW4A)

    WP: Leah Quant (6-1) 7 innings, 10 K's, 1 BB, 3 hits
    LP: Jen Rosene 4.1 innings, 5 K's, 2 BB's, 1 HBP, 2 hits
    AK Relief: Kalie Lang 2 innings, 0 BB's, 0K's, 2 Hits

    Leading Hitters PHS:
Fletcher 2/3, double, 2 runs scored
    Casella 0/0, walk, 2 sacs, 1 RBI
    L. Quant 1/3, double
    E. Quant 1/3
    E. Habig 0-1, credit for awesome base running, 1 run

    AK Hitters:
    Holzmeister 1/3, double
    Williams 1/3
    Robison 1/3, triple

AK had two errors as did PHS. Providence had timely execution today which paid off in the win. Fletcher set things off great for the Panthers by being a key contributer in the win. Wills and Quant had a great day defensively.

Providence had a couple good base running decisions as well as a couple bad ones, which I admit that I own one of those trying to be too aggressive on a play that Lang made coming off the mound and it cost us a run. Lang moves very well fielding her position. Leah Quant had a very nice day on the mound pitching very efficiently and moving the ball.

Sorry, but I am going to be a little sentimental here:
I know we have great kids that we are fortunate enough to have play for us at Providence, but AK does too. Those kids are class acts and we enjoy competing with them in the SW4A. The players on both squads have a unique friendship that they are able to check at the door come game time and resume when it is over. There is definitely a special kind of rivalry developing there and we have nothing but respect for those players. They have a bunch of great ball players, but more importantly, they have quality young women as we do. Any day either one of us could be on the side of a win or loss. The teams are matched well.
