Raiders at least start to put he bat on the ball. Elisha Clutter with 2 hits and Heather Nellis had a double that was ripped.

    Received word Alexander 2-1.

I had a feeling Freedom might take it, but just a little short. No details.

Woulda been nice to see Kalie go at it with Leah like she did with Constance Orr, but maybe next time.

    ....

We did have that match up last year. Quant v. Lang at AK was a good one as Quant only gave up four hits to Lang's six and Providence came out on top 5-1 and it was a pretty clean game. Quant had 6K's, Lang had 9K's. Providence executed when they needed to and put multiple hits together for that win.

I agree it would be interesting to see that match up again this year, and I am sure we will before post season. To Jen Rosene's credit she only gave up two hits and I thought she threw the ball well. Lang gave up two hits in the 6th. The third run was also scored in the fifth with Lang on the mound, of course that run was not her's, it was a BB from Rosene. Rosene is easily an everyday starter for many teams around here. You guys have two talented pitchers and are fortunate to be in that situation and I hope Ms. Rosene knows that.

You never really hear that much about Leah Quant, IMO, because she is so unassuming and has a quiet presense on the mound. She is a good pitcher and moves the ball as well as anyone I have seen in the area. I am a fan of Kalie and always have been. I would take her on any of my teams any day of the week, but Leah and Kalie do not carry their respective teams, it takes all nine defenders and the ones on the bench to get it done and that is what we preach and teach to our kids every single day; what it means to be a team.

    WR 9
    LN 2

    WP S Stephens
    LP #13 (?)

both teams scored 2 runs in first inning
Stephens broke the tie with a solo shot in the 3rd
Alex Mills had a bases clearing triple

LN looked great defensivly, and #13 took a line drive to her arm, but shook it off and pitched another 2 innings...well played game by both teams!!:59:
