    This couldn't have been a fastpitch field !!! I've seen 235 fence for fastpitch, but never 260 fence !!!

    Not fast pitch fields

    Broughton does not have a field at their school. They play their home games at Jaycee park in Raleigh which are adult slow pitch fields.

    CC hit the ball, but 2b & ss made good plays. OF caught alot of fly balls.I do know Mo's bat is missed. I will say this, the game of fastpitch cannot be coached in a "Passive" manner. I see this alot in HS. 2 of the most successful coaches in NC, Coach Lambros & Charlie Blackwelder utilize base running, & the short game better than anyone I've seen. Hopefully Mo will be back in 2 weeks.

    from wednesday: Parkland 14 Mount Tabor 10 We had pitching and fielding woes all night but hit the ball well. (paper showed 25 hits, official book had 11).
    from thursday: Parkland 1 North Forsyth 0 Morgan Myers goes the distance giving up 2H w/9K Parkland scores only run on a hit by Senior Te Harper, single by junior Katey Beck, bunt single by Morgan Myers, and a deep SF by Ashley Myers.

    Parkland 5-2 (1-1)

    congrats to Boomer!

    Sarah "Boomer" Mooney is a very special player. I have seen her carry the magic for many years now. She will be a force to deal with and she is still getting better.

    Congrats to Ms. Hooper as she is also a special player.

    What a game!!

    megan freeman went 2 for 2 with a triple and katie white had a single with 2 rbi's. keely russell did great on the mound. :)
