    Big South 3A/4A

    East Gaston wrapped up the Big South Conference championship today with a 12-1 win over Forestview. They finished the regular season with an
    18-3 (11-1 conference) record. Conference tournament starts Tuesday.

    Patience, Megan and Laura way to go yard! Hasson you threw a good game even though you were sick, 7-k's and no walks.

    Anyone know the outcome of Lincolnton/East Lincoln matchup today?

    South Iredell defeated Highland Tech 10-0 in 5 innings.

    Amber Graney hit a HR and Kelsey Spangler threw a 1 hit shutout with 7 strikeouts. South faces Bessemer City next.

    WP K. Reynolds / 8 SO's / 1 BB / 4 hits / 1 ER
    LP A. Smith / 9 SO's / 1 BB / 7 hits / 4 ER

    FInal game of regular season. Mount goes to W. Stanly and with this win makes a four way tie for first place in the conference. It now goes to the conference committee to decide this one. For Mount, K. Reynolds pitched a very good game and made 4 PO and 2 Asst. to help the defensive effort. At the plate A. Starnes continued with her bat going 3-4 and T. Miller had an RBI single in the first inning and a nice 2 RBI double in the fifth. She then scored the fourth run on a wild pitch.
    Mount Pleasant finishes the regular season 15 - 6 // 13 - 3 RRC

    Next week starts Conference Tournaments. Stand by, very good competition in the conference this year. This one will be worth watching.......

    GO TIGERS!!!
