2008 NC NSA SHOWCASE EVENTS

NC NSA 2008 College Show Case Events​

• July 3-4 (Thursday-Friday) Morganton NC- Pre-pay by Friday June 13, 2008 ​
• July 5-6 (Sat.-Sun) Morganton NC- NIT for Out of State teams-Pre-pay by Friday June 13, 2008 ​
• July 5-6 (Sat-Sun) Morganton NC-18U State Tournament for NC 18U teams- Pre-pay by Friday June 13, 2008. ​
• August 9-10 (Sat. -Sun) Laurinburg NC-Pre-pay by Friday July 25, 2008 ​
• September 20-21 (Sat-Sun) Greensboro NC Pre-pay by Friday September 6, 2008 ​
• October 25-26 (Sat-Sun) Salisbury NC Pre-pay by Friday October 4, 2008 ​

• A $500.00 Scholarship will be given away at each tournament by blind draw to a girl that participates in the tournament ​
• The National Scouting Report will assist in contacting college coaches in a 5 state region. (NC/SC/VA, TN, GA) ​
• In 2007- 25 plus college coaches attended NSA/NSR showcase tournaments in Salisbury and Morganton ​
• Each team will have the opportunity to participate in combine drills- Pitching Speed, Catcher pop times and 20 yd dash. ​
• Results of the combine drills will be posted on www.ncnsasoftball.net and the National Scouting Report website. ​
• July 3-4 tournament is limited to 1st 48 teams to pay their entry fee. ​
• The July 3-4 tournament in Morganton will be followed by and NIT on Sat-Sun for out of State teams. NC teams will be able to participate in the NC NSA 2008 18U State Tournament. Entry fee for NIT or State is $285.00 per team. These will be bracket play tournaments with a 3 game minimum ​
• Make plans to come to Morganton for 4 days and your team will get 8 games minimum. The Catawba Meadows Sports Complex is beautiful. Also the Morganton area has a lot of attractions. We will post a link here in the near future. ​
• All other tournaments are limited to the 1st 24 teams to pay their entry fee ​
• The pitching distance in all tournaments will be 43 feet ​
• All teams should be limited to rising sophomores, rising juniors, rising seniors, current seniors and graduated players that are eligible to participate in 18 and Under Age Group. ​
• All College Showcase Tournaments are 5 game guarantee- Format 5 pool games ​
• The 2nd round of games will be situation games. Each inning will start will a runner on a particular base. We may add more situations to these games. We are currently polling college coaches and team coaches. ​
• Mail all entries to: Howard Edwards (checks payable to Howard Edwards) 150 Maple Circle Salisbury NC 28146. ​
• The entry fee for college showcases is $375.00 per event ​
• The entry fee for the NIT or State in Morganton on July 5,6 is $285.00 ​

Drop Out Policy- please read carefuly​

• Teams that drop out after the entry deadline will lose 100% of their entry fee unless there is a paid team on the waiting list that participates in the event. ​

Important requirements for participation in the above events​

• All teams must be registered with NSA by going to www.playnsa.com ​
• All teams must complete and NSA on-line roster, print off and get signatures of all players, parents and the head coach of the team. Upon arrival at the tournament please turn a copy of the roster into the tournament director. ​
• All teams must be covered by team insurance. Upon arrival at the tournament please turn in a copy of your team insurance to the tournament director. ​
• All teams must complete player profiles for each player participating and e-mail to National Scouting Report 10 days prior to the event. When we receive your entry fee you will be e-mailed and excel file for you to complete and e-mail back to the National Scouting Report ​
