I agree with you jon.I think the coaches from both mcdowell and freedom would want to still play each other. It is an intense rivalry and Its a good draw for both schools.Im sure we would play each other twice.

What a heart breaker., this year's team is a great bunch of guys and loads of fun to watch .. heard the officiating was a little one sided but I didn't see it firsthand... let's hope the Lady Titan's pull off a win tomorrow night at the Silver Dome and that the crowd gets behind them....

Proud of the Watauga Men. They battled and battled and never gave up in this game and all year. Hats off to you guys. You showed what true heart is all about.

Hate to say it but McDowell was pretty much outmanned tonight against East Meck. We gave the maximum effort but they had just way too much for us. Petey Hausley has 18 points, 11 boards, 4 blocks. Terrance Kincaid added 13. They accounted for a vast majority of the McDowell points.

McDowell has had a great run the past two seasons. Even with last years run being as exciting as it was, I knew this year was a completely different animal. I think this goes to show that in the game of basketballl, yes skill is good to have but luck helps out a lot as well.

First off I would like to thank my boss (Marty, I know you're reading) for letting me cover tonight's game. To see the emotion coming from the seniors as they were leaving the locker room, it got to me as well. I know the McDowell community has always been loyal to our athletes but I felt that this particular class (boys and girls) has really caputured the fans admiration.

Good luck to all eight seniors who represented the team and the community this season...
