I think Freedom is going to be the surprise team in this conference. Of course, you have to give the nod to the Spartans. They have some great pitchers coming up from JV to go with Messer.

and never underestimate the boys from Boone. I guarantee you Coach Hardee will be in the running this year. When I asked him about next years team...he replied with a smile!:cheer:

Come to think of it, there are alot of good teams in this conference for next year.

Watauga should be strong. Excellent group of JV players moving up. Lots of young guys but with some leadership from Moyer, Brietenstien and Dunnigin
    they should go far.
Caldwell and Reynolds will be strong but not like they have been the last 3 years. I'm not sure but I think the new school is going to hurt freedom.

I hope you guys keep sleeping on McDowell...I think the Titans are going to suprise some folks next year. They were a very young team this past season...for example 3 of the 4 infield positions (2B, 3B, SS) were made up of 2 freshmen and a sophmore. Next year the other infield positions (C, 1B) could be made up of another freshmen and sophmore. I look for McDowell's new coach Alex Smith to get the program re-charged.

South---losing most of their key players to the MLB Draft, other lesser division 1 colleges, and one of the most undercoached community colleges in NC...leaves them with Jimmy Messer. With all sarcasm aside..Jimmy, with the absence of any random injuries, will win most if not all games he starts..run support is the only doubt I would place there. Then again I've never watched or heard of any of the JV players...cet that Poarch kid. Throws the ball pretty slow I hear.

AC Reynolds---eh...it's AC reynolds..they might win a few games. I don't know their players too well...I'm just glad a kid 4x my size won't be throwing a barreling faster to me for the next year.

Freedom---all the kids from the "LLWS" team are off to Patton, with the exception of one...so it looks like the pickins for Freedom will be slim, cept for the legend Reginal Alburn Washington himself...

East Burke---with McDaniels gone...Rhoney is their ace on the mound. Rhoney is a quality player...don't know many of the others. A source told me they have a lack of commitment...sounds good for a baseball program.

Alexander---they'll be strong most likely. One thing is true about Alexander and Watauga: regardless of who they have a dogfight will always ensue. Known for their scrappiness and overly rowdy fans, one of those two factors will eventually get to you :D...oh and harringtons gone. very overrated player...sarcasm. chill.

McDowell-don't know many of the players...cept the 2nd baseman was good...they have an alright little left handed pitcher and JJ Johnson was a senior...so we'll see.

Watauga---Coach Hardee is still the coach. Strong group of JV's comin up, who are more than willing to work...plus Dunnigan, possibly Breitenstein (correct spelling :D)...and a midget, who speaks only spanish...I think the team will be strong. Scrappy as usual...hopefully classy. We try to work that in there...

    So..

    1. South, only because of Messer
    2. Watauga
    3. Alexander
    4. AC Reynolds
    5. McDowell
    6. East Burke
    7. Freedom

    as always...I have spoken :)
