isn't this what we've been waiting for, at least for the last 8 mos?? controversy, what schools were left out in the polls, and whose's going to be the cinderella team in 2008 in all of the conferences? sounds like it's going to be a wide open race to raleigh!!

I will Say This _____ JMHO

Southwest Randolph didn't lose anything between the pitcher and catcher in 2007. They have a Junior pitcher and Junior catcher that will take Britney Yorks place in 2008 that have been playing ball together since they could walk !! They will defintely be in Raleigh this year for the 3A !!! Of Course C.D. with Chelsea Leonard is going to be hard to beat in the 2A classification in 2008 !!! Probably got the best movement in pitching in the S.E....and I would venture to say that C.C. will also be in Raleigh in 2008 under the gun of Morgan Peeler ( NC State Future ). I really don't know what 1A holds...ask Mike Donelly...Hey Mike What's the Scoop ???

1A and 2A maybe close, I disagree almost completely with 4A and 3A but do not follow the state HS softball like most of you on here that have DD's playing or coach the game. I am sure you guys know much more than me about the HS game.

Butler will be tough again as they still have some good pitching and bats and all my kids went there so sure they will fight it out. Hopewell will be tough as well with pitching, some speed, and power, N Davidson is always tough but do have some new faces in key spots, and East Davidson, Central Cab., Alexander Central can be tough on any given day. Ledford has talent!:knife::smash:

Oh my goodness, it's a Ledford love fest. :1luvu: And here i thought North and Central were the only 2 schools in Davidson county. :hilljack: lol

Always fun to watch all you guys duke it out. Murph, Chelsea, and the dynamic duo at North, Embler, and now a pitcher at West. Next thing you know they'll be a team to compete with at Lexington. Ahhhh, Davidson County softball.

And just how big is the left field fence at Ledford. Sounds like they need to put a green monster down there. Can't make it too big though most of ya'll couldn't see over it. lol:apeani:

Good luck to ALL the girls in Davidson county.

As far as the polls go, before anyone gets tore up just remember they are PRE-season polls. Don't know alot about the eastern teams that's marlins domain, but as far as the west goes you can't go wrong betting with Sherrill or Lambros. If North's new faces settle in quickly it could be a long year for everyone else. Monte has a good nucleus and i'm very impressed with Laxton. CC has Mo, 'Nuff said, hope she has a good supporting cast. Also, keep and eye on West Forsyth, i know they lost junior Bmac but only lost one other senior and has a good young nucleus of juniors and sophmores.
In 3A, watch out for Foard, good group of kids with some great leadership. Isn't Bartlett Yancey where the Shoemaker girl goes? Was very impressed with her at the state games and a heck of a kid that noone talks about.
2A is CD's until somebody beats them, but i agree that Ledford will be excellant with Murph and that ultra talented tandem of Brittany Teer and Emily Byrd. Also watch out for Forbush, Lauren Harris in her senior year check them out if ya can.

    East....my domain?......Ok.....Here we go....

...let me start by saying I'm in Raleigh, not down east. My opinion of this areas teams talent?....West Johnston is STACKED!!!!! Make NO mistake about this TBR! Amanda, Uncw pitcher, Kelsey, Uncw outfielder, Katie, Uncw outfielder, Ashley, charleston So. catcher/ss, Jessie, D1 recruit list, jordan, recruit. And I understand that this team has many more players. Fuquay has Jordan Smith, pitcher, and Alex Ryan, Pitcher, PLUS an awsesome group of talent. Middle Creek, Garner, Harnett Central, with TA, NCSU, HN, Pfieffer, and more. Also check out the pitching at Durham Riverside, Jenn Ladd, UNCW, and Christie Thomas, Pfieffer. This list is collected from a 20 miles area only. There are tough teams in the Greenville area as well. Lets hear from Medic, on his domain.

I hear that South Granville out east is stoked, stocked and stacked. That is a 3A school you need to keep an eye on.

Oh, does CC have a good supporting cast. From what I have heard they have six returning All Conference players. Great group of girls, I can't wait to watch them play. Alot of talent on this team, all the girls plays TB on some awesome teams.
